Senate’s Farm Bill Release

On November 18, 2024, Senate Agriculture Committee Chair Debbie Stabenow (D-Mich.) released the full text of the Senate’s version of the Farm Bill. This bill proposes substantial investments in climate-smart agriculture, conservation programs, and rural development initiatives. Notably, it includes provisions to address California’s Proposition 12, aiming to prevent a patchwork of state regulations affecting pork producers.
